Excalibur (meaning to 'cut steel') was the great sword of King Arthur which 'gave light like 30 torches'. In the Arthurian stories, the name is given to two different swords - the one that the young king pulled from the anvil set in the stone before the church, and so proved his right to the kingship; and the other which the king took from the arm that rose above the surface of the lake, 'clothed in white samite, mystic, wonderful' and which eventually received back the sword when Arthur was dying. Our Squire's Excalibur sword is a product of the world famous Art Gladius factory in the historic sword manufacturing city of Toledo, Spain. At only 75cm, this is the ideal "first sword" for any budding young knight and is also the perfect display piece when space is an issue. The ornate hilt features heraldic dragons on both the pommel and guard and tops an embossed stainless steel blade.
